The Silver Moon

"Malick?...Are you alright?" June questioned, unsure as to wether is should have been something to do or something she should have just kept in her thoughts. However before letting him answer for the fear of the answer she simply sighed and acted asleep. Hoping that maybe by listening she'd be able to get some sort of understanding.

"Hnh?" He answered with a yawn. "Huh, what? I fell sleep sorry" He alughed a bit. "I was walking then just fell asleep. A funny feeling." He looked down at June. "Still sleeping? I was sure she just said something... Oh well." He turned over to Tenchi and saw that he held the crystal. "Hmmm... We are heading towards a village called Arkville. When we get there I could fix your blade."

June smiled a bit before softly sighing. "Sort of, if you're tired we could stop and make camp? I may not be able to move but I'm pretty sure I could start a fire." June offered, not wanting Malick to overexert himself.

"The poison would be gone by now really. Altough..." He mumbled some unclear words. "Yes, it's getting dark. And June your poison... There is a thing I have to do to fix it sorta. But I'll tell you more later." He gently lay June on the ground and took down his backpack. He looked into it and searched around in it for a moment grabbed something in it. "Could you help me with this please?"

June looked at what he was doing but wasted no time in hesitating. "Sure...and what do you mean? Is my condition that bad?" June questioned, trying to hid her alarming tone of voice.

"Not really. altough the poison in your body will activate everytime you use the seal. unless..." He pulled a big bed out of his bag and placed it in front of june. "There you go."

June looked at the and took the bed, "Thanks...unless what Malick?"

"There is this thing... I could do. To make that poison disappear. altough if I did that seal would disappear too."

June sighed upon hearing Malick's words. Her master had placed the seal on her to prevent the nightmare she had had, the ones that always seemed to dwell and taunt her of her hidden past. "Malick...I..." June sighed. She needed to go on to fight but wasn't sure if she was in fact ready to face those nightmares.

"It's you choice though. I can't choose for you."

June sighed. 'How...what should I do...' she thought before looking up to Malick sadly. "Umm, can I give you my answer when we've reached the city? Oh and don't worry. I'll start the fire." June said before closing her eyes and tapping into her powers. Suddenly there were a whole bunch of twigs together, set up for a fire and within seconds a fire was born. "All done." she said smiling, trying to hide her conflicting thoughts.

"June..." He moved up to her and looked her deeply in the eyes. "I respect you. I don't care what you do or what happens. I want you to be allright. Because I love you. I'll wait as long as it take for your answer"

Upon hearing his answer June blushed, she was dumb struck and most of all shocked that someone had spoken such words to her. After a while of just blushing and staring Malick in the eyes June shut her eyes closed. "I...thank you Malick...and I....I care about you too. That's why...that's why I have to get stonger. To help you and Tenchi-san, Kara-san, and the others." June then sighed and smiled at Malick. "Thank you Malick..."

He gave her a hug and held her tightly, gently stroking her hair. "You're welcome"

Once Malick started to hug June she couldn't help but hug back, hug back and silently let the tears she had been holding in for so long fall free. All the while asking, "Why?...Why me?"

He said nothing just keep holding her. "Because they have chosen you." He spoke calmly.

June simply cried in silence as she was held, she wasn't sure what he had meant but at the time she didn't care. All that mattered was that some way, some how she had managed to find these group of travelers and was able to find a place to call home.

He gently kissed her on the cheek. Without saying a word he wiped her tears with his hand and looked her into the eyes. "I love you. It's so simple yet so complicated."

June looked up at Malick as he wiped away her tears and said he loved her. A feeling of warmth, of security and most of all love filled her. She was amazed and yet without thinking, with out even knowing it herself her lips moved to a grin before smiling "And I think I'm falling in love with you..." she admitted. However upon hearing her own words June went into a blushing fit, she couldn't believe she had just something like that..."So umm...is there anything else I can help with? Cooking? ...."

He smiled. "You are a one of a kind!" He said and walked up to the fire. "You should rest for now. I'll fix some food for now so get some rest."

June smiled, he was so kind to her and even after just meeting her. 'There is something there...I can feel it too now.' she thought as she watched him getting things together then sighed. "Alright, just wake me if you need anything okay? I...I want to help if I can." She spoke warmly before yawning and smiling. "Looks like I am kind of tired. I'll see you in the morning." and with that June lay down and fell asleep.

He looked over to june. "Sweet dreams, beautiful." He picked out a frying pan out of his bag and some eggs. He looked around in the bag and picked up shrimps, mushrooms and tomataos and started to make something.

pats malick on the back "is the town near?" he says softly careful not to wake june

"Let's take a look." He took the compiss out of his pocket and looked at it for a moment. "About... 2 hours walking"

As the first beams of light went through the forest he was halfasleep at the fire. "Hnh?" He mumbled. "Ah, morning..." He walked up to june where she was lying and sat down beside her. "Wakey wakey" He said gently laying a hand on her face.
