The New World

June sighed and save the apple for Malick. "poor thing." was all she said as she picked him up and started to carry Malick. "As soon as we hit the town you're resting." she spoke to herself.

"Ummkay..." he mumbled still uncouncious.

June smiled, shocked a bit as to his response to her words then started to sing her old tune again, thinking back to happier times and to when she once had a home to go to.

He woke up some time after he had appeared above the ground again. "Hmm? How long was I gone?" He asked, not sure if anyone listened.

June smiled, "A couple of hours, here. Have an apple." she spoke while offering it to him.

"Thank you." He said and took a bite of the apple. "Yummy" He said and smiled.

June smiled, happy that he was doing okay. "So have fun in the cave?"

"Yes! I got to hear this awesome thing!"

"Mind sharing with the rest of us? Oh and why do you smell like a phoenix?" June suddenly questioned, remembering the smell of when he had just appeared out of no where.

"I smell like a phoenix?" he asked kinda surprised.

"Well you have the sent of several on you, did you find a coven or something?" she asked before smiling. "And here I thought I'd never be able to meet them."

"Heh." he said and held back the feeling of laughing. "Could you let me down?"

June stopped and let him down. "There you go, you sure your okay though?" she asked while checking to see if he smelled ill or not.

"Yeah I'm allright." He said and walked up in front of the group. "And I... I'm The Prince of Phoenixes." He said and looked at them.

June stopped in her tracks and looked at him. "Wow, really?" she asked unsure how the others were taking it.

"Yup" He said and smiled. "Some old lady told me and said I was gonna be the king of the world."

"Wow, then we should protect you." she said while smiling then kneeling. "I promise to protect you from here on out." she offered. "should you wish it."

"Ehh... get up or I'll kick you. I don't like people kneeling... it's like slaves. throwing away their honor..." He said and sighed.

June got up and looked at him a bit annoyed. "What's with that sudden tone? I was only trying to be nice." she spoke before taking to the skies and flying up ahead of everyone. All the while humming the same tune she had been for so long.

"Sorry... it's just... People kneeling... everyone I lost... they kneeled in front of me. everyone. It just... plainly pisses me off." He said and sighed.

June heard him speak then appeared beside him. "It's okay I guess and I'm sorry too. I didn't know." she said saddly.

"Don't be. I shouldn't have taken out my frustration on you. Will you forgive me?"

June smiled "Of course and will you forgive me?" she offered, even though he had already forgiven her.

"That depends... got more apples?" He said and laughed.

June laughed and summoned three more apples. "So long as you want some I can conjure them." she said with a smile on her face. "Hey are you close by the village yet?"
