Midnight Stroll

"Okay, you see I'm one of the few elementals left, and even since I was five I had been held captive by them, being experimented on and being forced to kill others with a these powers of mine." she explained while silent tears began to fall only to form rain clouds. "I tried to escape countless of times but it just never seemed to work. Finally, yesterday I managed to escape."

She pondered a little while.

"do you think it could have anything to do with my problem?" she asked

June looked up, stoping the tears before a storm was created, "and what would that be?" she asked rather curious.

She motioned to where the bear was, and where Buckle now lay.

"recently, animals have started to desend into madness, like that bear and my people can't work out why. We think it may have to do with some men that recently came onto the mountain where we live.
The mad animals seem to seek out places with high populations, and murder all they can. With each kill, they grow bigger, and stronger... I was sent to stop this one before it got too big, but i've seen much bigger of late.." she murmured off into silence.

June frowned, "That sounds like them, I...I should have stayed. Maybe they wouldn't have send these things out for me." she spoke saddly. "I'm sorry."

She shook her head.
"we can handle them, together" she smiled..

Buckle rolled his eyes

June smiled upon hearing her words then turnned to the bagger and smiled. "Is he alright?"

Suki looked to the badger.

"Eh, he's fine, he don't talk much anyway" she smiled

June let it go then sighed. "So then, where do we go from here?"

She thought a moment.

"To the north, i need to give the bear spirit back" She glanced at Buckle "else the elders will be upset"

June nodded, "Right, will they mind my arrival though?" she asked curious as to who they were.

She thought a moment

"Perhaps.. but then you never know with the Elders, I've known then for a long time and they still surprise me even now.." She trailed off into silence again, playing with her fanged necklace.

She jumped suddenly.
"I just realised, you don't know where I'm from!"

June smiled, "That's true. And where are you from?"

"well, up north" She smiled when she thought of her homeland, and her eyes glazed over as she pictured it "Its covered in snow.. except for about two months in the summer when its green and the elk fawn.. There are so many different animals; bears and birds, moose and wolves.."

She sighed "...Benninghurst"

June smiled, she had never been anywhere outside of the lab and now this city. "It sounds so beautiful. Is that where we're going?"
